How the service works
The arrangement began in May 2026 with an initial group of branches, according to Roofing Today. Its report, published on 23 September, says customers can use TradeKart’s marketplace to browse roofing products and check stock at participating local outlets before ordering.
Roofing Today reports that deliveries can arrive in as little as 30 minutes. Customers can also book a delivery up to seven days ahead, allowing them to use the service for planned purchases as well as materials needed during a job.
Branch coverage and trade focus
Participating branches include those in Bedford, Colchester, Ipswich, Luton, Northampton and Peterborough. The network also covers London, the South East, the West Midlands, Hull and Edinburgh. The report does not name every branch within those areas.
TradeKart founder Alistair said roofing was a focus as the marketplace expanded the trades it serves. He said working with a specialist merchant gave customers access to a wider roofing range. The source identifies him by his first name only.
Alistair described the service as a way to avoid stopping work to collect missing materials. Lotty Pritchard, marketing director at SIG Roofing, also said the partnership was intended to get supplies to roofers and contractors without them having to leave the job. These are the companies’ stated aims; the report gives no measured figures for time saved on site.
