Cash and earnings

Errigal Contracts held £4.4m in cash at the end of 2025, compared with £11m a year earlier, according to Construction News. The south London fit-out contractor also reported bank overdrafts totalling £8.1m at the latest year-end.

The group’s accounts cover the 2025 calendar year. Turnover was reported as 4 per cent higher than the £132.6m recorded in 2024. Pre-tax profit reached £9.2m, against £8.3m in the previous period, a reported increase of 12 per cent.

Dividend payments amounted to £85,849 during 2025. There had been no dividend payment in the preceding year.

Directors said they were satisfied with the results. They identified winning work that supports lasting profitability and cash generation as their continuing priority, Construction News reported.

Revenue and staffing

UK operations generated £116.8m of group revenue in 2025, an increase of 39 per cent. Income from the rest of Europe moved in the opposite direction, falling by 56 per cent to £21.2m.

Average monthly employee numbers declined to 322 from 351. Despite the smaller headcount, the annual wage bill increased by 13 per cent, reaching £19.4m compared with £17.2m in the previous year.

Group businesses and remediation

Errigal Contracts belongs to Errigal Group, which also has offices in Northern Ireland and County Monaghan. The wider group includes cladding business Errigal Facades, alongside Errigal Technologies, which focuses on data centres, and main contractor Errigal Sustainable Solutions.

Errigal Contracts secured a place on Guinness Partnership’s £300m building remediation framework. It was one of 25 contractors appointed to that arrangement.

A separate appointment involved Errigal Sustainable Solutions. Metropolitan Housing Trust selected it as one of 20 contractors for a framework covering fire and structural safety remediation, with a value of up to £807m.

Errigal Sustainable Solutions was established to undertake building safety remediation and mixed-tenure new-build housing. Its remit also includes residential solutions across multiple sectors.
